Most Recent Courage Up Moment:
He’s had a few. It generally becomes where he is so uncomfortable and has to make a change. When he moved to Maui, he was working on a snorkel boat. One day he was prepping the lunch for this guests and he was very sure he was about to have a heart attack. He went to see the doctor and it turns out it was not a heart attack and was possibly anxiety. Deep down, he was really enjoying the work, but he had to engage with his community and help growing it.
Focused Energy
Service to others has been deeply ingrained in him since childhood. In middle school, he lost his father to a brain tumor and another time, their house got struck by lightning and burned down.

Impact of Living Into your Purpose
It played into his personal strength of positivity. It didn’t feel like work.
Rock Bottom
In the summer between middle school and high school, he started using drugs. He used drugs most of his teens and 20’s. He was addicted to heroin. He was fully addicted and looking up at the puffy clouds. He imagined if his dad was peeking down from the sky, he would be really sad. That was the day that he quick drugs. He could do it for the memory of his father. Rock bottom is way bouncier than you think. He had nothing but hope from that point on.
